TweetI have been part of Dance for All’s Rural Outreach Programme in Zolani since it started in 2007 and I am now a trainee teacher. I teach the hip hop classes in Zolani and in and around Montagu and am involved in all the community performances.
I come from a talented dancing family and helped my youngest brother develop his talent to the extent that he has received a scholarship to study at the Canadian Ballet School. Another brother and cousin have been given bursaries to study at the Cape Academy of Performing Arts (CAPA).
With Fiona and Africa, I teach about 100 children in the Zolani/Montagu area and our work is now expanding to other communities.
I am committed to making a difference in my community and in the lives of the youth. I look forward to seeing many of the local children excel as they are given life-changing opportunities.
