Cape Town Eisteddfod - May 2006

Two groups from DFA's Junior Training Programme were entered in the Cape Town Eisteddfod. Both groups were awarded Diplomas and the 13 & Over group was outright winner in its section.
       

Training in San Francisco - July 2005

Nqaba Mafilika and Xola Putye, two members of the DFAYC, attended a 7-week summer dance course at San Francisco Ballet School.
       

Formation of the Dance for All Youth Company - February 2005

DFA formed the Dance for All Youth Company (DFAYC) with graduates of the Senior Training Programme. The DFAYC was officially launched at Artscape Theatre in November 2005 with a sold-out performance of 'Celebration'.
       

Life Achievement Award for Phyllis Spira - 2004

Phyllis Spira received the 'Life Achievement' Award at the 2004 Western Cape Arts, Culture & Heritage Awards.
       

Sustained Contribution Award for DFA - 2004

DFA received the 'Sustained Contribution' Award at the 2004 Western Cape Arts, Culture & Heritage Awards.
       

Kula Award for Philip Boyd - 2003

Philip Boyd was awarded a Kula Award in 2003 for his contribution to community development.
