HBO is premiering Jeremy Simmons's documentary "Ghetto Ballet" this December featuring DFA students

Jeremy Simmons a filmmaker from Los Angeles, who has been visiting DFA occassionaly and documentaring a chosen few Dance for All students will be launching his documentary on HBO on the 30th December 2009.

The Dance for All film was made by a film crew called Inside Out from Germany who spent three months in 2005 with Dance for All in South Africa. The film directed by Viviane Blumenschein & Elena Bromund was presented at a film festival in Cape Town in June/July 2007. This film was then presented at various film festivals around Europe. Rural Outreach Programme: Community Dance Show

Our first ever Rural Community Performance which brought together dancers from each Rural Outreach venue proved to be exciting and out of the ordinary. Performance took place at the Happy Valley Community Hall in Bonnievale on Friday 18th September. This evening of dance ranged from Classical Ballet to Hip Hop, Contemporary, African, Theatre Dance and Creative Movement.
